The Albuquerque Community Foundation and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center are pleased to announce the artist and artwork chosen for a public art project in Albuquerque’s City Council District 2, located on the traffic circle at Menaul Blvd NW and 12th Street NW.

The Indian Pueblo Innovative Entrepreneurship (IPIE) program is a new initiative presented in partnership with the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and Creative Startups designed to support Indigenous entrepreneurs in New Mexico. It is a series of 10 free business workshops taking place Fall 2020 – Spring 2021.

This scholarship is named in honor of Manuel “Bob” Chavez of Cochiti Pueblo, who dedicated 50 years as a volunteer teaching art at St. Catherine’s Indian School. Many students were able to explore Native arts and feel at home in his classroom.
